Pearl Jam close out last night at Lollapalooza

Pearl Jam closed Lollapalooza tonight (August 5) with a performance watched by a gigantic crowd.

The audience had been building since early evening, and when Eddie Vedder took to the stage for the third time this weekend, the roars were deafening.

Opening with 'Why Go', the band played a string of their greatest hits including 'Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town', 'Even Flow', 'Alive' and 'Not For You'.

The band also performed a song campaigning to save Lake Michigan from waste from BP Amoco, as well as 'Better Man', 'Daughter', which they interjected with 'Another Brick In The Wall' after which Vedder introduced a paralysed Iraq war veteran onstage to speak out against the war in Iraq.

As predicted, Vedder also welcomed onstage Ben Harper, with whom he covered a Bob Dylan track on Friday night and the pair performed acoustically before being joined onstage by around 20 people for 'Keep On Rockin' In The Free World'.
Damon Albarn: 'No more Gorillaz albums'

Damon Albarn has confirmed that Gorillaz will release no more studio albums.

The Blur singer said that the only project left for the cartoon band will be a film featuring a score composition, that has previously been linked to filmmaker and Monty Python mastermind Terry Gilliam.

Speaking to BBC Radio 2, Albarn said: "We're trying to make a film next, starting in September hopefully. It will be a film score. There won't be another pop record."

Reports suggest that the cartoon band members will act as alternative characters, as opposed to playing themselves.

The "band" released two album--their self-titled 2001 debut and 2005's Demon Days.
